Amy Cantu

Founder & Visionary

Building stronger regional dental communities through accessible education.

Amy Cantu founded Texas Dental Collective with a vision to bring high-quality continuing education, valuable resources, and meaningful professional connections closer to dental communities throughout Texas.

With more than two decades of combined experience in dental and healthcare administration, Amy brings a broad background in practice operations, leadership, training, team development, patient experience, and professional education. Throughout her career, she has seen firsthand how access to quality continuing education and industry resources can differ for dental professionals outside major metropolitan areas. Texas Dental Collective was created to help close that gap.

Amy's career has included dental practice leadership, corporate training, new-practice development, consulting, healthcare operations, and team education. These experiences have given her a unique understanding of both the operational needs of a dental practice and the importance of investing in every member of the dental team.

Amy holds a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration from Dallas Baptist University and is a Certified DISC Educator. Her work with DISC focuses on strengthening communication, improving team dynamics, enhancing the patient experience, and helping dental teams better understand and connect with the people they serve.

Through Texas Dental Collective, Amy is working to make approved continuing education more accessible and affordable for rural and regional dental communities. TDC takes a collaborative approach to education by listening directly to the practices it serves. Dental professionals are encouraged to suggest topics, recommend educators, share the needs of their teams, and help influence the educational opportunities brought to their region.

Amy also believes some of dentistry's most valuable educators are already working within its practices. TDC encourages dental professionals with knowledge, experience, and ideas worth sharing to explore opportunities to step into education and contribute to the growth of others.

For Amy, Texas Dental Collective is about more than continuing education. It is about building stronger regional dental communities where professionals can learn from one another, connect with valuable resources, strengthen their teams, and have a voice in the education available to them.

Growing Together. Rooted in Dentistry.
