Katrina Starr, MS

With nearly two decades of hands-on experience in dentistry, Katrina Starr brings a rare blend of clinical depth and academic excellence to every room she enters. Her career spans chairside assisting and practice administration across general dentistry, periodontics, and oral and maxillofacial surgery — giving her a ground-level understanding of what dental teams truly need to thrive. Driven by a passion for patient care and education, Katrina made a purposeful pivot into team training before stepping into higher education, where her impact has only grown. Today, she wears several distinguished hats: Continuing Education Coordinator for a private dental practice, Assistant Professor of Pathophysiology and Medical Ethics at West Coast University, and Adjunct Biology Professor at East Texas A&M University. Whether she's in a clinical setting or a classroom, Katrina's approach is the same — practical, interactive, and always rooted in real patient outcomes. She is deeply committed to building learning environments where students and dental professionals alike feel supported, challenged, and ready to lead.

Melissa Shutt Scaggs, DDS, MAGD

Dr. Melissa Shutt Scaggs is a highly accomplished general dentist with over two decades of clinical experience and a passion for lifelong learning. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio Dental School in 2000, followed by a rigorous 12-month Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Texas A&M (Baylor) College of Dentistry. Dr. Scaggs launched her private practice career in 2003 when she purchased her first office in Carrollton, Texas — a milestone that marked the beginning of a thriving career built on dedication, precision, and patient-centered care. Her commitment to continuing education culminated in one of dentistry's most respected honors: in 2008, she was awarded the prestigious Mastership designation from the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD), a distinction earned by fewer than 1% of dentists nationwide. In 2014, Dr. Scaggs discovered a deep calling to serve senior patients and has since built a specialized focus on the unique oral health needs of this population. Her expertise and empathy make her a trusted provider for patients at every stage of life. Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Scaggs is an active member of Mommy Dentists in Business since 2019 and proudly serves as a Regional Co-Leader for the DFW area, supporting and mentoring fellow dentist-moms across the community. Outside the practice, she is a devoted wife of 28 years and the proud mom of her son, Wilson.

Shaundra Bobo

Shaundra Bobo is the Founder and CEO of Star Dental Solutions, a Texas-based dental billing company serving private practices across the United States. With more than 20 years of experience in revenue cycle management and a professional background spanning banking, real estate, tax liability negotiations, and talent acquisition, Shaundra has built a reputation for bringing clarity, stability, and relationship-driven leadership to dental practices navigating the complexities of modern revenue systems. Originally from Colorado, Shaundra's path into dentistry was shaped by both entrepreneurial ambition and a passion for people. Although she graduated at the top of her class in dental assisting school, she quickly discovered her greatest impact was not chairside, but in building trust, improving systems, and strengthening the patient experience from the front office outward. Early in her career, she recognized that treatment acceptance and practice growth were rooted less in pressure and more in genuine hospitality, communication, and connection. That philosophy became the foundation of her career. Long before social media and digital networking, dentists began referring other dentists to her because of her ability to stabilize cash flow, streamline operations, and leave practices stronger than she found them. Over the next decade, Shaundra helped scale one of the nation's largest outsourced dental revenue cycle management operations, gaining enterprise-level experience managing billing systems and practice support across the country. Driven by a desire to return to a more intentional and high-touch approach, Shaundra founded Star Dental Solutions to provide private practices with personalized billing support grounded in stewardship, accountability, and long-term partnership. Her approach combines sophisticated systems with thoughtful execution, allowing doctors and teams to step out of the operational weeds and refocus on patient care and practice growth. Outside of her professional work, Shaundra is a wife and mother of three sons. Guided by her faith, commitment to excellence, and deep belief in serving others well, she approaches every client relationship with the same dedication and care she gives her own family. At its core, her work is about creating peace of mind for practice owners through trusted relationships, reliable systems, and results-driven support.

Quiendra Conley, RDH, BS

Quiendra Conley, RDH, BS is a preventative oral health advocate, educator, and dental hygienist with more than 20 years of dedicated service to patients and the dental community across Texas. A proud graduate of Texas Woman's University (2002), Quiendra has built a career rooted in clinical excellence, compassionate care, and an unwavering belief that education is the foundation of lasting oral health. Throughout her career in general dentistry, Quiendra has distinguished herself not only as a skilled clinician but as a passionate educator who meets patients where they are — empowering them with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to take an active role in their own well-being. Her ability to build genuine, meaningful relationships with patients reflects a deeply held conviction that informed patients are healthier patients. At the heart of Quiendra's practice is a mission to bridge the gap between oral health and overall wellness, championing a proactive, whole-person approach to care that goes beyond the dental chair. She believes that when dental professionals are equipped with exceptional education, patients across every community — especially those in underserved and non-metropolitan areas of Texas — receive the elevated standard of care they deserve. It is this belief that makes Quiendra a natural and enthusiastic contributor to the mission of Texas Dental Collective. She is committed to advancing the profession through meaningful educational initiatives, collaborative leadership, and a tireless pursuit of growth — not just for herself, but for the dental teams and communities she serves.
